Arabs don't travel light, and that's when we're going on a vacation. So you can imagine what happens when we decide to move abroad.

Yes, you guessed that right, tons of luggage bags stuffed with loads of things we just can't live without. How else would we be Arab then?

Here are a few of them:

1. A portable shatafa has to top the list

You'll need it until you get one installed at your new place.

2. Arab spices

Who knows if you'll find baharat where you're moving?

3. And herbs

Zaatar? Yansoun? Maramiyeh? Yas, because they're life.

4. Things your parents stuff in your bags

From clothes to medicines, nothing is off limits.

5. Packaged frozen food (made by mama)

Because Arab moms think there'll be nothing to eat wherever you're going.

6. Things relatives/neighbors/friends want you to carry for them

Don't tell anyone you're moving, because no matter where you're going, someone who's Arab will want you to carry something for them.

7. How will you know you're Arab if they don't do that?

8. Saboon baladi

Handmade olive oil soap anyone?

9. Portable bukhoor heater... because no one can live without it

Yep, even Ahlam swears by it.

10. Seb7a... also known as the Arab stress ball

No Arab is moving abroad without one.
