The Dome Box Dubai is open for business!

Located in Box Park, Dubai, the dome-shaped screen (hence the name) will offer visitors an all-inclusive 4-D experience. Imagine this: a cinematic experience that will include effects on the scent and touch (like wind), coupled with old-school food listings like fizzy juice, for a night of educational entertainment.

Because of the set up of the screens, the movie screenings will be short – between five and 35 minutes long – and only educational films or documentaries will be featured. Spectators will have to lean against cushioned bars to take in the full experience, as there are no chairs.

Among the current films being screened at the Dome Box is the Ewan McGregor-narrated "Astronaut," a 23-minute documentary about what it takes to explore space.

Tickets start at 45 dirhams for a two-movie package, which can be used in the same visit or on separate days.
