Launched last week by in partnership with Sasol, the Accessible Qatar initiative aims to make Qatar a friendly destination for the disabled community.
The app was launched in partnership with the Ministry of Municipality and Environment, Qatar Tourism Authority, Hamad Bin Khalifa University, the Translation and Interpreting Institute and Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy.
Through the website and app, users can search public and touristic locations and outlets all around Qatar based on whether they are accessible for the disabled.
The app shows which locations are accessible and convenient based on color codes.
The map can be filtered based on what category of places a user is looking for, including malls, parks and leisure, sport, religious and more.
