Former adult film star Mia Khalifa is one of the top-ranked entertainers in the world... despite the fact that she only worked in the porn industry for three months.
In December 2014, Lebanese-American Khalifa was ranked No. 1 on PornHub, the adult film streaming giant.
Today, even though she hasn't made an adult film for years, she is still ranked No. 2, according to VICE. She was also the "most-searched porn star of 2016 and 2017 on rival site xHamster," media reports suggested.
In 2016, The Washington Post revealed that Mia Khalifa worked in the adult film industry for three months in late 2014. Her films were released at the beginning of 2015 and quickly went viral overnight.

In one of her most known films, the star wears a hijab while having sexual intercourse with a male actor and an older hijab-wearing actress, who plays the part of Khalifa's stepmother.
While viewers apparently liked the video, many individuals were also outraged by the performance. Defending the video in 2015, Khalifa said it was meant to be satirical.
She added that Hollywood routinely portrays Muslims in a far more offensive and negative way.
The 25-year-old has received tons of media attention since and a few death threats over the course of her career.
Earlier this year, the former adult entertainer revealed she left the porn industry following several death threats from terrorists.
Khalifa said she received threats from the so-called Islamic State (or Daesh), with some messages even threatening decapitation.
"It all started to spiral out of control when the death threats from ISIS started coming in. That's when I stepped away," the 25-year-old said, according to The Daily Star.
Despite her decision to leave porn, Khalifa has maintained a large following online. She has more than 2 million followers on Twitter and around 8.3 million on Instagram.
