Street harassment is all too common in many countries across the Arab world. The harassment is frequently manifested in the form of catcalls, aka latshat

"Shu ya ashta" is one phrase many women have encountered while walking on the road. Thus, several campaigns - including Lebanon's #NotYourAshta - have attempted to shut down men by telling them there's nothing sweet about it. In fact, it's just plain old harassment.

Recently, Arab women have taken to Twitter with the "Pushpin Emoji Detour" meme to do just the same.

1. On the sexting demands

2. On rhymes in the form of pickup lines

3. On failed attempts to be cute

4. On pressuring women into getting kids

5. On catcalls in their literal form

6. On shitty language and assholes

7. On trying to offer you (the moon) a ride
