The world's most renowned waxwork museum Madame Tussauds is expected to open in Dubai later this year.
It's going to be the first branch of the chain to open in the Arab world - unless Saudi Arabia's plans fall through first. The project was first announced in 2008 and came at a time when the emirate was seeing an influx of tourists.
Madame Tussauds' Dubai building is located in the emirate's Bluewaters Island and will feature a host of lifelike wax models. We're hopeful it will house waxworks of regional stars along with international ones.
The exact dates of the museum's opening remain unconfirmed, so do the celebs that will be featured in it.
So for now, we took the liberty to imagine which Arab celebrities might get wax figures and here are a few we're really hoping to see there:
1. Queen Rania of Jordan
Who wouldn't want to take a picture with her?
2. Mohamed Salah
Because no statue has given him justice yet, let's hope Mohamed Salah gets a good one at Madame Tussauds Dubai.
3. Dubai's Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan
That would be one perfect royal statue.
4. Amr Diab
His millions of fans will rejoice at that and will certainly flock to Dubai's Madame Tussauds.
5. Adel Imam
Taking a photo with his statue sounds like so much fun.
6. Nadine Labaki
Internationally acclaimed Lebanese filmmaker Nadine Labaki deserves a spot at the museum.
7. Taim Hasan
Aka Jabal Sheikh Al Jabal and King Farouk.
Now for Arab legends
8. Umm Kulthum
She tops the list.
9. Fairouz
An icon for the ages.
10. Dalida
Because she has millions of Arab and international fans.
11. Faten Hamama
The siren of Arab screens.
12. Omar Sharif
Everyone wants a still with the Lawrence of Arabia.
