A video of a group of monkeys crossing a highway in Saudi Arabia went viral on social media over the weekend.
In the footage, the animals are seen running across a highway that tweeps identified as a road between Mecca and Madinah.
While it remains unclear whether the video is recent, it's now causing a hilarious meltdown of the sorts on Twitter.

Authorities have since responded
"What is circulating on WhatsApp in regards to this monkey video being a sign of a forthcoming earthquake is false. The National Center of Earthquakes and Volcanoes, which is a part of Saudi Arabia's Geological Authority said that this type of animal movement does not signal any natural disaster."
