A UAE-based bride decided to divorce her newlywed husband right in the middle of their wedding after he surprised her by walking in with a second bride.
Abdul Naser Naser, the couple's wedding planner, was shocked when just days before the ceremony, he got a call from the groom telling him about the surprise, Al Bayan newspaper reports.
"We had planned out all the details for their luxury wedding at one of the country's most prestigious resorts. A few days before the ceremony, I got a call from the groom. He asked to change songs we had picked for the playlist, and I told him that would be problematic because they were selected by his soon-to-be bride," Naser said.
"He then told me not to worry about that because the new songs were dedicated to his second wife, adding that she was going to be the wedding's 'surprise,'" he explained.
"He told me this was his way of getting back at the bride"
The wedding planner was shocked by what he heard but didn't say anything in response.
"We never interfere when there's a problem between a couple who's planning their wedding with us, but this groom insisted on telling us the details of his story. He explained that this was his way of getting back at the bride because she was stubborn and always undermined his decisions," Naser said.
He also added that on the day of the wedding, the groom went ahead with the plan and walked into the ballroom with his second wife.
His bride, who was waiting in there, was shocked by the scene and stormed out. She immediately filed for divorce.
