Two Omani men tragically drowned after they saved the lives of two Saudi women who slipped and fell in the country's "Wadi Darbat" valley while taking photos, Sabq news reported on Saturday.
Now identified as Tarek bin Salem Al Nasseri and Hamir Saeed Al Nasseri, the two men drowned in the valley's waters minutes after they dove in and succeeded at pulling the women back to safety.
Oman's Public Authority for Civil Defense and Ambulance announced the deaths in a tweet posted on their official Twitter account over the weekend.

Soon after news of the incident started making the rounds on Twitter, it caught the attention of Saudi tweeps.
Thousands have since reacted to it, hailing the two men as heroes and sending out their condolences to Omanis on the platform.
