When are you getting married? The most redundant question asked when conversing with another human, specifically women, in merely any setting. Arab women, whether single, taken, or uninterested in the whole discussion, annoyingly come across the Arabic phrase 3a2belik (you're next) more than three times during a three-hour wedding. Why is the topic of such importance to random strangers? Is tying the knot some kind of milestone one must achieve to fit into society?

Well, it seems to be the case for many of us women, Arab or not. It also seems to be a regular inquiry whether you're a hermit or a popular celebrity. Rihanna is the most recent victim of the incredibly personal inquiry.

In a very rare interview with Ocean's Eight co-star Sarah Paulson, the Barbadian singer was asked whether she will tie the knot with her Saudi billionaire boyfriend Hassan Jameel.

"God Knows"

The 31-year-old singer, who has been dating Jameel for two years now (reportedly on and off), has been incredibly private about her romantic life.

So, when she was asked a question about the couple's potential marriage plans, it was only expected to see her attempt to brush it under her umbrella.

It all started when Paulson asked Rihanna whether or not she was in love. The singer did not shy away from answering the intimate question with full-on confidence.

"Of course I am," she said.

But, that simple question automatically evolved into a super awkward one.

*Don't say it, don't say it* is probably what Rihanna was thinking at the time ... except Paulson did not do her a favor.

"Are you going to get married?" Paulson asked. Apparently, the Barbadian singer paused before leaving the entire discussion up to fate and destiny.

"Only God knows that, girl. We plan and God laughs, right?" Rihanna replied.

Well, it seems the couple is deeply in love, and marriage may just be a possibility for the two. But, who are we to speculate, right?

In the interview, Rihanna also revealed that she wants a child "more than anything in life." Who she wants that child with (and whether she wants to adopt or carry the child in her own body) remains unclear.

Last week, photos of Rihanna hanging out with the Jameel clan in Italy took social media by storm. Meeting the family means one thing: the two are not only going strong but are getting pretty serious.

The notoriously private couple has been more public in recent months. Earlier this year, they were pictured attending an LA Lakers basketball game. The sports event came just a day after the singer celebrated her 31st birthday with friends and her bae.

In a 2018 interview with Vogue magazine, the star confirmed she was in a relationship. Though she didn't mention her boyfriend by name, people figured she was talking about Jameel. "I used to feel guilty about taking personal time, but I also think I never met someone who was worth it before," she said at the time.

In the interview with Paulson, the singer reiterated that she's been taking more time for herself because one's happiness depends on it. And well, from the looks of it, her and Jameel seem pretty happy. So, as cliché would have us put it ... 3a2belik Rihanna!
