Rami Malek -undoubtedly and according to many of his fans- deserved to win big at the Golden Globes. 

Last year, the Mr. Robot star had a historic win at the Emmys, where he became the first "non-white" actor to win the Emmys' Best actor award in 18 years. So people had high hopes for the actor at the 74th Golden Globe award ceremony. 

He was nominated for "Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series Drama" and lost to Billy Bob Thornton for his role in Goliath. 

Naturally, his fans were devastated.
