A snake on a plane just grounded an Emirates flight

Where's Samuel L. Jackson when you need him?

Emirates unexpectedly canceled a flight from Muscat to Dubai after a stowaway snake was discovered aboard on Sunday.

The crew found the unwanted slithering passenger before take-off.

And there was no need to call Samuel L. Jackson to save the day ...

A spokesperson apologized for the delay, saying the snake was in the cargo hold.

"Engineering and cleaning teams are working to clear the aircraft to re-enter service," the spokesperson said, according to Gulf News.

All passengers were re-booked on the best connecting flights.

Of course, some were quick to remember Jackson's 2006 flop "Snakes on a Plane".

Fortunately, this incident was significantly less dramatic than the film and nobody was injured. But we're curious, where exactly did this snake come from?
