A recent study  has shown that professionals are clamoring to work in the UAE, which has taken the lead for the second time in a row in being a major attraction for expatriates.

LinkedIn  based its results on the analysis of each site member's position listings from the year. The study showed that the UAE has seen the biggest professional entry, with a gain of 1.86 percent of its total workforce, beating Switzerland and Saudi Arabia's job markets.

Other countries such as India and France have seen a drain of their professional capital, registering a loss of 0.23 percent and 0.2 percent of their total work force, respectively. India remains the top source for professionals to the UAE, despite a rising influx from the United Kingdom, the United States and Qatar.

The study also showed that migrating professionals were mostly salespeople, marketing specialists, project managers, corporate finance specialists, accountants, consultants and mechanical engineers.

But with soaring oil prices, recruitment firm Morgan McKinley reported, the Gulf country's hiring fell in the second quarter by 1 percent, or from 8,213 jobs in the first quarter to 8,109. Dubai, however, remains the second top searched by American professionals, separate research by Aetna International, a health benefits provider, published last month showed.
