Qatari designers take note.
If you're Qatari and creative, the National Museum of Qatar is giving you the chance to leave a lasting legacy. An online competition has been launched to accept designs for the branding and logo of the museum, which is currently under construction.
All Qatari designers and creatives have been invited to submit their suggested concepts by Sept. 22 to be judged by the chairperson of Qatar Museums, Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, and the director of the National Museum, Sheikha Amna bint Abdulaziz bin Jassim Al Thani. Senior executive members of Qatar Museums will also be involved in the decision-making process.
The winner will be announced on Sept. 29. This individual will head to London to work along side the Qatar Museums' design agency, Pentagram, to see the logo and brand fully implemented for the new national museum.
Over the course of two weeks, the winning designer will spend two days working with Pentagram's design team and the remaining days experiencing and enjoying London's vibrant arts and culture.
Qatari readers, you may now start brainstorming your designs. Go.
