Jordanian Woman Creates Amazing Airbnb Resume

Nina Mufleh wanted a job at Airbnb, but kept getting rejected. See how the Jordanian woman took matters into her own hands.

We’ve all been there: You know you’re perfect for the job, but just can’t seem to get your foot in the door. But maybe you’re just not being aggressive enough.

Jordanian Nina Mufleh had her heart set on working at Airbnb – she is passionate about the travel industry, has experience and knows she could improve the company’s offerings in the Middle East. She had even recently moved to San Francisco, where the company is located. But after reaching out several times, her quest was going no where.

Most people would give up there – but not Mufleh.

“I actually thought, I haven’t done everything I can," Mufleh told Business Insider . "I’ve done the same thing multiple times, but I haven’t tried new approaches.”

So instead of focusing on improving her resume or putting more effort into networking - Mufleh just decided to get to work.

She produced a report on where Airbnb was succeeding and failing in the Middle East. After analysing the company’s presence in key regional market, she laid out why the company should target growth in Dubai as the keystone of its Middle Eastern growth.

After putting together a website  to present her findings, she put it out there in the world – and the response was overwhelming.

Will she get the job? The world is waiting to see – but it seems like Airbnb would be crazy to walk away from such a dedicated potential employee.

What would you do for your dream job?
