Flight from Dubai forced to land after passenger refuses to stop farting

A fight broke out.

Passengers boarding Transavia Airlines HV6902  from Dubai to Amsterdam were expecting a routine flight, but one passenger simply couldn't stop farting.

Yep, you read that correct.

The captain of the budget airline flight was forced to land the plane early after a couple passengers got into a physical altercation with an elderly man who refused to check his flatulence, De Telegraaf reported.

According to media reports, the man was loudly passing gas to the annoyance of nearby passengers. A couple fellow travelers asked the man to refrain from the behavior, but he continued.

The frustrated passengers then asked the crew to intervene, leading to the pilot "issuing a directive" to the man to cease farting, LAD Bible reported. However, the flatulent passenger either was unable to hold back or simply refused to do so.

Several fellow travelers just couldn't take it any longer, and a fight broke out on the aircraft.

Due to the physical altercation over the ongoing farting, the pilot decided to make an unplanned landing in Vienna to remove several passengers.

The Daily Mail reported that Austrian police boarded the flight and removed two Dutchmen as well as two young women. Transavia said that all four passengers are now banned from traveling with the airline in the future.

However, one of the young woman removed claims she and the other woman had nothing to do with the incident.

"It was crazy that we were included, we had no idea who these boys were, we just had the bad luck to be in the same row and we didn't do anything," she said, according to Mirror.

"All I will say is that the crew were really provocative and stirred things up."

None of the individuals were arrested by the police however, as they had not broken any Austrian laws.
