Amid an ongoing economic crisis, high rates of unemployment, and security issues, it seems that many in Egypt are thinking of immigrating to make better lives for themselves.
In the past two days, thousands have taken to Twitter to share their reasons via the trending hashtag: #بفكر_اهاجر_عشان (I am thinking of immigrating because...)
Some reasons are pretty obvious, others are out of this world and a few are actually pretty funny:
Some want to leave to make this ... a reality
Others want to leave because...
"I feel like I am bringing bad fortune to this country."
A few are turning to sarcasm to get their message through
"I am thinking of immigrating because this country is beautiful, everyone living here is always happy. No one ever goes to sleep afraid and we're all safe and sound."
"I am thinking of immigrating because there are so many job opportunities here, I don't know which one to pick."
Some want to leave because they're always broke
Others well, not so much...
