Earlier this week, authorities in Egypt's Dakahlia arrested a woman who sexually harassed a monkey, Youm 7 reported.
This came after videos of her touching the animal's private parts went viral on social media, sparking outrage in the country. Local officers received several reports on the viral footage circulating among young people and university students in the region, pushing them to issue an arrest warrant against her.
The 25-year-old defendant, now identified as Nasam Ahmed, has been charged with "inciting debauchery."

The woman has been detained for 15 days
The woman reportedly admitted to the accusations held against her during interrogation.
A few days after her initial four-day arrest, public prosecutors reassessed her detainment period and increased it to 15 days to "further investigate the case," according to Almasry Alyoum.
Officials stated that the defendant isn't a first-time law violator and was previously charged with criminal activity in two other "public moral" cases.
In her statement to prosecutors, the defendant claimed she was petting the animal and was surprised by its reaction. She also said the video was uploaded online without her knowledge.
The news left people shocked
To say the least
"What's this, Egypt?"
"Yes, seriously, a monkey."
Can you blame them?
"Honestly, this is just too much."
Everyone is confused
"She harassed a monkey... what does that even mean?"
