Remember all those happy hours you spent playing with blocks as a child?

Now you can relive all that childhood fun on a large-scale in Abu Dhabi.

The international touring art installation "We Built This City" is coming to New York University Abu Dhabi .

Featuring large cardboard boxes, visitors are encouraged to construct buildings and cities with their family and friends.

The live-art project was created to encourage unstructured play. Using discarded packaging materials, the exhibition has toured all over the world. A theater crew guides participants of all ages through the building process as needed.

But just like your block castles always ended up being torn down, so it will be with your cardboard creations.

“We, young and old, are inherently rebellious. It’s like when you build a sandcastle and kick it down,” Sue Giles, artistic director of Polyglot Theatre, the company behind the exhibition, told The National .

“The idea of choosing your own point of destruction is quite a powerful feeling for a child and it imparts a sense of leadership with control. It’s not vicious or warlike. It’s an absolute joyous and profound moment.”

So, if you're in Abu Dhabi, swing by and try your hand at building!

The exhibition will run from Oct. 8-11 and Oct. 15-17. Free tickets can be reserved online.
