For the first time in the history of the Olympics, a team of ten refugees competed.
Two Syrians are among # TeamRefugees, and they've no doubt won our hearts. Yusra Mardini and Rami Anis have shown the world just how good they are, inside and outside the pool.
Yusra Mardini won her heat in the 100-meter butterfly race on Aug. 6, however her timing did not qualify her to the semifinals. Rami Anis did not fail to impress us all either when he recorded a personal best of 54.25 seconds in the 100 meter freestyle race.
Regardless, the duo is beyond adorable. I can just look at their photos for hours.
