In recent years, Islamophobia has manifested in numerous ways, and the boycott of certain "halal" chocolate brands is just one example.
A number of chocolate brands including Toblerone and Cadbury have been targets of Islamophobic trolls ... for being "halal" by nature.
The stated brands were attacked by far-right individuals (on separate occasions) after receiving an official "halal certification." In reality, these chocolate brands actually produced "halal" products long before getting certified.
The certificate only officially confirms that their ingredients and production process is halal - meaning there is no contact with pork or alcohol.
So, why all the fuss ... Islamophobes?
Far-right individuals cannot bear the thought of eating the same products as us, Muslims ... or so it seems.
But, have these people actually taken a second to think about all the halal products consumed in our everyday lives that really don't need a certificate to prove so?
Dear Islamophobes: Please stop consuming these 17 products because the less you consume, the more we have. Thank you.
