Summertime is here, and it can only mean one thing: picnics, habibi!!

Picnicking is a healthy staple activity. The laid back atmosphere allows people to socialize, mingle with their family and friends and catch up and enjoy each other's company.

Egyptian picnics are uniquely hilarious in many ways. Here's why:

1. A single freaking outing takes months of planning!

The more people involved, the longer the planning process!

2. Cram the whole gang in one car!

It's totally normal to see 10 people squeezing out of a car once the door opens, don't ask how we managed to fit in there, please!

3. Mahshi is the staple food for picnics

Hard to make, easy to eat!

4. Tormos chai

Key to staying awake after the Mahshi!

Forgetting this precious baby would be a major turnoff.

5. Still hungry, son?

Here are some sausage and cheese sandwiches :)

6. Now that we're full, it's time to play!

Salla7 is our staple a game for picnics; grownups and children all play together.

7. Whispering anything to your parents is bound to end in sheer embarrassment!

One poor shy kid will whisper in his mom or dad's ear only for the parent to declare: "Excuse us guys, I have to take him to go pee-pee."

That was supposed to be private, Baba!!!

8. We're hungry again!

Baba: "Pass the watermelon, yabny!"

9. Not to mention Dora Mashwi

These lovely corn cobs, roasted on coal, are to die for.

10. Discussing work or college issues at the outing is inevitable

Ma3lesh we can't help it! :D

11. That envious friend that can't join the outing

Not being superstitious here, but usually, it doesn't go well...

People! Don't be envious and say Masha'Allah!! :D

12. That awkward moment when you hear that the outing is cancelled

You feel like: "You gotta be kidding me, we kept preparing for it for months!"

Enjoy your picnic!
