The UAE is taking music to new heights, literally.

Jebel Jais – the highest peak in the UAE, located in Ras Al Khaimah – is hosting a classical music concert at an altitude of 1,600 meters.

The "global sensation" Vivaldianno – City of Mirrors, composed by Czech musician Michal Dvořák, will raise its notes above the mountain peaks on October 27. Accompanied by a light show and 3D visual effects, the concert promises to impress.

"We strive to push the boundaries in our efforts to enhance Ras Al Khaimah’s visitor experience, and this latest event is not only a first for the UAE, it will also provide genuine sensory overload at one of the emirate’s most iconic landmarks," Haitham Mattar, CEO of Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority said, according to Hozpitality.com

The performance will bring together a large orchestra on a specially constructed mountain stage to cover classical and art-rock instrumentation. Large-format projections will be featured behind and in front of the musicians.

"We are retaining the original score while adding modern instruments," Dvořák explained. "The show strives to enforce and emphasize the original music in a contemporary means of expression."
