Lindsay Lohan has put in some major humanitarian efforts during her stay in the Middle East... but it hasn't been all business and no fun for the Mean Girls star.

This weekend, she's hosting one of the biggest New Year's Eve parties in Dubai, where she seems to have come to stay.

'Li-Lo' will take the stage at Dubai Marina's Zero Gravity before midnight and lead the countdown to 2017.

Lohan's NYE gig features the English electronic music duo Chase & Status, along with the Belgium brothers 2ManyDJs.

Chase & Status have produced number one singles such as 'Hurt You' and 'Sell Me Your Soul' and collaborated with international artists, including Rita Ora, Tinie Tempah and Rihanna.

2ManyDJs are best known for their unique style of remixing, which "has set the benchmark for a million imitators"

While dancing 2016 away, guests will have a good view of the Jumeirah Beach Residence fireworks.

Tickets, purchased here, range from AED 200 for early birds, up to AED 999 for VIPs.

Lohan headed to Dubai last month and has not left since.

Rumors surfaced that she has taken residence in the United Arab Emirates after Dubai One television presenter Dina Butti shared a photo with the star on Instagram, saying Lohan is "currently based IN DUBAI!!!".

Butti added that Lohan is working on "some pretty awesome charitable initiatives".

Also, Lohan retweeted a Dubai Week tweet dubbing her "Dubai's newest celeb resident".

Before heading to Dubai, Lohan was in Greece and Turkey, volunteering to help refugees and raising awareness about their plight. She told Page Six that she is considering heading back to Turkey during or after the New Year.

"The dates are not set yet," she added. "It depends on how Turkey feels after the recent terrorist attack in Istanbul.

Not that any attack has or will ever stop me from helping those suffering, those who need our help the most."

Lohan has gone all out blending in the Arab world. After she was seen carrying the Muslim holy book, the Quran, Lohan confirmed that she has been studying Arabic and the Quran.

Some have speculated that she's converted to Islam. "It opened doors for me to experience spiritually, to find another true meaning. This is who I am," she said in an interview on Turkish TV show Haber Turk.

Lohad said she received backlash for holding the Quran. "They crucified me for it in America. They made me seem like Satan. I was a bad person for holding that Quran.

"I felt so unsafe in my own country. If this [Islam] is something that I want to learn, this is my own will."
