One of the things we miss about television shows is how religiously we used to watch them. Many Lebanese series had an impact on our teenage years. Unfortunately, they don't make Lebanese series like that anymore.
Nowadays, almost every actor and actress is so concerned with looking beautiful on the screen that they no longer deliver their lines properly. This is why we need old Lebanese series to make a comeback. We miss the genuine acting and spontaneity of those shows. Here are 5 Lebanese TV shows that NEED to make a comeback.
1. "Bent el Hay"
Remember this little girl who was able to hold an entire show together without tacky makeup and bad acting?
2. "Meryana"
Who could forget Carol El Hajj's most famous role as a poor woman that she pulled off so effortlessly? (That's more than I can say for the "Metl El-Amar" actress who takes about 10 minutes to deliver her lines).
3. "Ghariba"
This was back when Cyrine Abdel Nour could move her face and had real eyebrows ...
4. "Talbeen El Orb"
5. And of course, "Min Ahla Byoot Ras Beirut"
This one definitely deserves re-watching ...
