As life keeps on going and years unfold with new experiences and "new year new me" resolutions, people set themselves to achieve greatness with every turning page. 

StepFeed talked to 14 Lebanese youngsters about their resolutions and wishes for a better Lebanon in 2018.

Here is what they had to say:

1. "More animal rights"

"Other than us being united for a better Lebanon, I wish for better laws regarding animal protection and for these laws to be applied to stop animal abuse," Marwa Harb, 21. 

2. "Cheaper cell phone bills"

"If only MTC and ALFA were cheaper because I don't have enough dollars most of the time," Vana Kambourian, 18. 


3. "More freedom and tolerance"

"I just want everyone to be able to hold hands regardless of sect, religion, culture, etc... but that's a bit impossible and unrealistic," Dana Ajouz, 19. 

4. "More shows on Netflix"

"I just want Netflix here to have the same shows as the US, it's not fair that we have lesser ones," Paul Licha, 25.

5. "Less noisy drivers"

"Streets free of idiot drivers who beep for no logical reason," Sarah Harakeh, 24.

6. "Less traffic, less lights"

"If only traffic didn't require us to leave one hour beforehand and pleeeeaaaase make it a crime to use high beam headlights in the city," Sarkis Sislian, 25.

7. "PayPal please come to Lebanon"

"I wish PayPal would be available in Lebanon already. Do you know how many online transactions we're missing out on?" Rabih Shoujaa, 23.

8. "More LGBTQ rights"

"At least for the article 534 to be demolished so we can walk around without the slightest fear from the law," Alex, 22.

9. "Live and let live"

"As Lebanese people we need to learn how to accept one another and not to judge people based on the shoes they're wearing for example," Nancy Kalash, 20.

10. "Less rape, better internet speed"

"Less rape would be great, and a stronger internet connection would be nice," Nareg Maguerditchian, 23.

11. "More women's rights"

"To be more open about women's rights and not to shame them whenever they do the same actions as men," Andrea Aya, 20.

12. "Lebanon as it was before"

"I wish it returns the way it was before when the tourism and the economy were good," Ayda Fakhro, 20.

13. "The obvious thing"

"I think we can all agree that we need electricity 24/7, or at least more than 6 hours per day (also depending on the weather)," Zahraa Asmar, 29. 

14. "More McDonald's branches"

"Everyone has a McDonald's branch close to their house except for me, that's not fair, I want one too," Elia Fikany, 21.
