With over 12 million views, the supermarket chain is doing something right. In addition to being the unsexiest sexy ad we've ever seen, EDEKA is making us think of grocery store products in a whole new light.
Here are our favorite bits from this hilarious video.
,- Dancing with a battery at the :50 mark.
Not really sure what is going on here but it's pretty amazing.
,- Pouring cereal into the bathtub, that has been filled with milk at the 1:36 mark.
To call this unappetizing would be an understatement.
,- Dancing with random ladies in the supermarket aisles at the 2:36 mark.
Fluorescent lights and shelving have never looked so sexy.
Although we don't speak German, we pulled some of our favorite phrases from the clip. Apparently, you can easily create new words in the language by putting different words together. Thanks to this creative use of grammar, we are blessed with some choice words throughout the video, our favorite being:
,- Superlazy
- Superlifestyle
- Supercookies
The original title of the song, Supergeil, is especially great. More from Slate here:
The titular adjective, geil (pronounced guy-l ), has—like all the best German words —multiple meanings, two of which happen to be “cool” and “horny.”
Superawesome.
