The popular social media trend of showcasing 100 years of a culture's fashion and beauty traditions in a short video has turned its eyes to Egypt.
Starting in the 1910s and ending in the 2010s, this video – produced by WatchCut – highlights the typical beauty trends embodied by each decade. Dr. Jacinthe Assaad explained a bit about the research she did to help with the creation of the short video.
"The looks that we have chosen are very diverse in nature. Each represents various political struggles in each decade," she explains in a behind the scenes video.
