Vodafone Egypt has teamed up with a group of young Egyptian musicians and artists to promote the launch of its new network "IN by Vodafone" that is targeting young people.
Vodafone's IN released the song "Men Gherak Mesh Hatekmal" and its music video last Tuesday, featuring an impressive lineup of young favorites, including the popular rock band Cairokee, singers Zap Tharwat and Youssra El Hawary and producer Hassan El Shafei, in addition to the groups El Madfagya and Sharmoofers .
The five-minutelong song combines a variety of music genres and styles from the musically different singers, merging rap verses with soft vocals from Cairokee and Hawary. The music video is currently trending on YouTube and has over 300,000 views.
Vodafone's new youth-centered network is specifically targeting the under 25 age group in Egypt using the slogan "because your conversations are never complete without your friends we've made a network just for you alone."
The network already has more than 59,000 subscribers according to its official website and over 1 million likes on Facebook . In addition, the new song and music video have received a lot of positive feedback on social media, with the scales generally tipping in Vodafone's favor.
The network has launched its own app on Android through which users can use its music service IN Mazika to listen to and download music for free and to chat with the network's customer service. It is also offering new cheaper Internet and social media packages that will surely attract a larger audience for the telecommunications giant.
