A video of a heated school fight in Saudi Arabia has gone completely viral on social media.
The fight, which took place in Mecca's Imam Nisai'i High School, left several students injured and led officials to cancel the entire school day, Al Ain Al Youm reported on Wednesday.
In his statement on the matter, spokesman for Mecca's Education Authority Talal Al Radadi explained that the fight took place after a group of people from outside the school entered its premises.
"What we know so far is that a group of young people who aren't registered at the school clashed with students. A number of pupils were injured during the fight. Their injuries were minor and they've now received treatment," he said.
"We absolutely refuse to accept such behavior and officials are now closely following the case. An investigation has been launched into the matter," he added.
According to Al Ain Al Youm, the school has been without a principal for over a month. A replacement has now been chosen to temporarily fill the position.

"My daughter saw this video and started reciting Haj prayers."
Many took it seriously though
"When there are no rules or consequences, this happens."
A few blamed the country's Ministry of Education
"Why didn't the Ministry of Education employ security officers at the school?"
People fought over who to blame
"No, I don't blame the ministry, I blame the parents of these students."
Bottom line...
"Do we have to wait until these minor injuries turn into deaths?"
