A group of medical practitioners performing aerobic dance moves as part of a flash mob in a Riyadh hospital sparked uproar on Saudi Twitter.
This came after a video capturing the dance went viral on social media early on Wednesday.
In the footage, male members of King Faisal's Hospital can be seen performing as a group of patients, visitors, and colleagues applaud them.
It remains unclear whether the flash mob came as part of a health awareness campaign promoting exercise or was simply a staff-led initiative.
The flash mob sparked controversy among Saudi tweeps
As the footage continues to make the rounds on Twitter, many are reacting to it.
The majority of Saudi tweeps were upset by the dance and felt it was inappropriate to perform dances or flash mobs in a hospital.
A few even called on Saudi authorities to investigate the incident, but were shut down by many who stated there is nothing illegal about what was seen in the video.
Here's how the controversy is playing out online:
The footage left many people angry
"Those who think they won't be punished over inappropriate things, behave immorally. Where is their discipline when it comes to working hours? Where's their respect for the place they work in and the situation of those who are ill??????"
Some asked the country's Minister of Health for answers...
"Minister of Health... what is this?"
Others thought a hospital isn't a place for a flash mob
"A hospital is a place of treatment not a place for recovered people to dance in."
Some just couldn't even with the video
"People have gone mad."
Not everyone was upset over the dance though
"A beautiful, entertaining idea."
Some thought this was part of a health event...
"This is considered exercise."
Regardless, what's so wrong with a hospital flash mob? Nothing
"I don't see anything wrong with this!"
