A huge fire has broken out at the Sheikh Jaber Al Ahmad Cultural Center, Kuwait’s Opera House on Monday. The blaze sent plumes of thick black smoke across the city, a video posted online has shown.
According to al-Qabas news, the fire started in the technical room, but causes of the blaze are not yet known.

But, firefighters were able to control and extinguish the fire shortly thereafter
The Sheikh Jaber Cultural Center was inaugurated on Oct. 31, 2016.
It consists of four buildings with a distinct geometric design inspired by Islamic architecture.
It is covered by thousands of square meters of titanium shell.
The center, which is named after late Amir Shaiekh Jaber al-Ahmad, includes a 1,200-sear concert hall, and a vast indoor parking facility. It is said to have cost $775 million dollars to build.
According to Kuwaitna news, the fire did not cause serious damage.
