Australian TV presenter Sonia Kruger thinks Australia should ban Muslim immigration to the country, believing there is a link between the number of Muslims in a country and terrorist attacks.

Kruger, a host on Channel Nine, expressed her thoughts and agreement with Andrew Bolt, a Herald Sun columnist who recently wrote  "the more Muslims we import, the more danger we are in," arguing that the reason France is subject to numerous terrorist crimes is directly linked to the number of Muslims it has let into its country.

Channel Nine came to Kruger's defense in a statement citing "freedom of speech," according to The Guardian .

“Nine’s view is that we believe in freedom of speech and the Mixed Grill segment on the Today show is a place where that happens. Sonia, [and the other presenters] David and Lisa each expressed a variety of opinions on the show this morning," the statement read .

Many have taken to social media to express their anger and frustration over the never-ending prejudice and hate.

With some explaining why #SoniaKruger's comments define what is dangerous

And those who want the excuse that it's just "freedom of speech" to stop

While others are just pointing to how hateful Kruger's comments are

And expressing how hurtful it is to hear such things time and again

And some are making it clear that her opinion is really not important...

Kruger's Islamophobic comments are some of the few that have been shared following the tragic Nice attack last week. Newt Gingrich called for the “testing” of every single person in the United States with a Muslim background and for the deportation of all those who believe in the Shariah.
