The 6th annual Middle East Film and Comic Con (MEFCC) is coming to Dubai  and, true to Dubai fashion, will be the biggest-ever in the region.

The pop culture phenomenon will be returning to the emirate from April 6 to 8. It will showcase both national and international talents, as well as the usual celebrity guests and activities, according to Arabian Business.

For the past 5 years, the convention has been attracting more than 200,000 fans, and Benjamin Caddy, MEFCC's chief organizer, plans to push it even further this year.

"Every year, we challenge ourselves to not only deliver a better event but also continue to support the development of regional talent, and to see local artists and entrepreneurs progress is hugely rewarding," he said about the event.

International stars will be attending

The National reported that Liam Cunningham of HBO's Game of Thrones and Greg Grunberg (Heroes, Star Wars: The Force Awakens) will be attending the 6th MEFCC. There will also be famous comic artists and cosplayers coming to Dubai.

However, this is not the only comic-con to take place in the gulf. Earlier this year, Saudi Arabia celebrated it's first comic-con ever. It was wildly successful but was later penalized for a violation.
