On Saturday, women's tennis champion Caroline Wozniacki won big at the 2018 Australian Open, a tennis tournament held annually since 1905 in Melbourne, and decided to celebrate in style on an Emirates flight.
The 27-year-old Danish national didn't just treat herself with a first-class ticket on the Dubai-based carrier on her way back home but also gave her trophy a taste of the finest luxury.
Wozniacki shared a photo of her trophy aka the "Daphne Akhurst Memorial Cup" buckled up in a first class seat right next to her via her Instagram story.
Following her big win, the 27-year-old champion took to Twitter to express her joy.
"A dream come true!! Australian Open champion and new world #1," she wrote in an Instagram post.
Wozniacki is the world's number one women's tennis player, according to WTA rankings.
However, this win finally landed the tennis player "a grand slam champion for the first time," according to The Guardian.
"It feels really good, it's great. I basically have beaten any player that's been playing and is on Tour right now. This [a major title] was the only thing missing," she said, according to Business Insider.
