Canadian bride Jo Du wasn't having the luck she'd hoped for on her wedding day, and the zipper to her dress broke just hours before walking down the aisle. Not a single person present was able to fix the dress, but to Du's luck, her neighbor was hosting someone who could!

The neighbor, David Hobson, was sponsoring a Syrian refugee family. The father turned out to be a master tailor, with 30 years of tailoring experience in Aleppo.

Unable to speak English, Ibrahim Halil Dudu knocked on the bride's door, appearing with a sewing kit in his hand along with his son and Hobson.

"I was so excited and so happy," Ibrahim told CTV News through a translator, according to the BBC . "I like to help Canadian people from my heart."

Lindsay Coulter, a photographer at the wedding, was there to see and document the whole thing.

"Within a few minutes he had sewn Jo's dress on to her – and it looked just as good as before," said Coulter, according to the BBC .

Coulter shared the story on her Facebook page. The post has garnered more than 29,000 likes and more than 10,000 shares

And the story has since gone viral ...

A crowdfunding campaign has been launched on GoFundMe to help support Syrian refugees who are privately sponsored in Canada, including the Dudu family.

As Ashton Kutcher put it ... this is an act of humanity at its best!
