On Sunday, Emiratis across the UAE celebrated the country's 47th National Day.
Special events were held across the nation and no stone was left unturned to commemorate the day.
From firework shows to flypasts, here's how Emiratis marked the special day:
1. An official event at the Zayed Sports City Stadium
An official celebration of the day was held at the Zayed Sports City Stadium and was attended by the country's top officials.
Titled "This is Zayed, this is the UAE," the event featured live performances by world renowned artists and orchestras, military demonstrations, film screenings, and a design show.
2. Huge firework shows across the nation
Firework shows were put on in Dubai’s Jumeirah Beach Residence, La Mer, Dubai Festival City, and Al Seef.
3. Burj Khalifa was lit-up
The UAE's flag was put on spectacular display at the iconic tower.
4. A historic flypast
To mark the UAE's 47th National Day and the Year of Zayed, Emirates, Etihad, flydubai, Air Arabia, and Al Fursan all took part in a flypast that featured over 11 aircrafts.
According to Khaleej Times, the event is considered "a world-first and a UAE civil aviation milestone."
5. A UAE Air Force display
As part of the flypast, the Al Fursan team of the UAE's Air Force also put on an airshow.
6. A national anthem performance like no other
The performance was organized by Expo 2020 Dubai and featured musicians from the 190 countries that are confirmed to be participating in the exhibition.
7. Commemorating the national day all over the country
Celebrations were held all over the country and saw millions take part in commemorating the national day.
People had their cars decorated, their homes lit up, and participated in celebratory public gatherings and performances.
