Social media has been the talk of town - more like the global village we call Earth - ever since its emergence a decade ago.

With billions of users already subscribed to the many online platforms, the reliance on social media grew relatively with the number of followers.

Arab youth, among many others, made sure to use the electronic nervous system to expand their popularity, collect news, spread memes, and simply connect with the world.

To reach the Arab audience in the region more effectively and inform social media users on the latest happenings throughout Ramadan, a new Twitter live show titled 'Hawanah Zein' has been announced for the holy month.

In yet another first in the MENA region, the live show will be brought to you as a collaboration between STEP Group's YallaFeed - a digital video platform for young Arabs shaping the modern Arab world - and the social media giant Twitter.

What's #HawanahZein all about?

Hawanah Zein is a bi-weekly live stream show on Twitter that will curate what's happening on the social media platform throughout Ramadan based on live conversations.

In order to appeal to a modern, young Arab audience, the live format of the show will cover everything from entertainment, trending topics and sports, to celebrity news and the TV shows airing during the holy month.

Running for 20 minutes per episode, the free live stream will air every Monday and Thursday at 12 am KSA time on Twitter

The first episode will be streamed on May 17.

With humorous commentary on each piece of news and the discussion of insightful topics related to the Islamic fast, the show is the first of its kind to go live in the MENA region.

Meet the hosts

To make everything even better, Dubai-based identical twins, content creators, bloggers, and comedians Aboud and Noor - known by their social media name Twinzy - will be hosting the 20-minute live show.

The Egyptian-Lebanese brothers are quite the pranksters, as their YouTube channel is filled with videos of them tricking celebrities and people with their identical looks.

Undoubtedly, with their funky expressions and sense of humor, Twinzy qualify as the perfect hosts for this show.

Follow @YallaFeed on Twitter to watch Hawanah Zein every Monday and Thursday at midnight during the holy month of Ramadan.
