With fathers, no matter how old you are, you will remain as young and little as when you were born.
This is especially the case if your father is Arab, with deep Arab roots.
You'll rebel against them, sure. But one day, you'll get where they were coming from.
So, before you get angry with your dad, remember it's all out of love.
Here are 5 types of Arab fathers who either have a marshmallow heart or a steel head - sometimes even both:
1. The cool dad
He's open-minded and up-to-date with technology; though his knowledge is not too in-depth, his newsfeed will always be the stuff of entertainment.
2. The all supportive dad
He's got you, even when you mess things up, he still got you. He can be an attentive listener with decent advice ... so, try to listen every once in a while.
3. The young at heart dad
It's like the more he accumulates years, the younger his mentality gets.
He's fun, he makes you laugh and dance randomly... as long as it's in the parameter of the house.
4. The tough love dad
He's a bit strict, and you won't understand why he says 'no' to most of your suggestions, but it's something you will understand once you're older.
5. The old-fashioned dad
"Be back by 9 PM" is his usual answer to your hangouts.
You can't be outgoing or wear fashionably revealing clothes. He's abrasive and not all that much realistic.
