Starboy fans, this one is for you! The Weeknd is officially coming to Abu Dhabi later this year.

The Canadian-Ethiopian singer, songwriter, and record producer is set to headline the Yasalam After-Race Concert at the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

The concert will take place in the du Arena on Yas Island on November 23.

The Grammy Award-winning artist will, therefore, join the list of A-listers who have taken part in the annual racing event, such as Beyoncé, Pink, and Calvin Harris.

"The Weeknd has not only smashed records but challenged conventions in music, and we're thrilled to announce an innovative music icon as the Friday After-Race Concert performance in what will be an incredible weekend," said John Lickrish, CEO of Flash Entertainment that is in charge of the event.

Lickrish went on to promise fans an "extra special" line-up for this year's concert, which will mark the 10-year anniversary of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

Naturally, people were quick to express their excitement about the upcoming concert on social media.

And if you, like me, have had My Dear Melancholy on repeat for the past couple of weeks, then you'll probably obsess over the news as well ... even if you're a plane ticket away from the UAE...

The excitement is real

So real that people can't help but type in all capitals

Fainting GIFs ensued

And so did crying memes

YAS!

"Sounds like something I really need"

"Count me in"

Meanwhile, others are a bit pessimistic

"I'm 101% sure I won't be able to go"

People outside the UAE are envious, to say the least

"See you in Abu Dhabi, Starboy"
