We've all had pictures of the Burning Man festival take over our news feed during this time of the year. The annual gathering in Nevada's Black Rock Desert is one of the most anticipated--and most shocking--events around the world.

Those living in or about the UAE don't need to browse through their feeds to vicariously enjoy this spectacular social experiment. The country is bringing its own version of the Burning Man starting September, and like the original festival it's going to be a party in the desert that brings together music (24 hours of it) and community art.

SoundOpia, a 24 hour music festival, is coming to the Relax RV Camp in Ras Al Khaimah

Set to bring international producers, DJs and local artists for a non-stop night filled with music, artwork, food and drinks.

The festival organizers also encourage artists or creators of any creative items to bring their own work to the festival.

The festival is set to take place every month until May 2017 during the full moon weekend, with the exception of the one being held this month.

Tickets are for 150 dirhams per person. Children under 12 years old can go in for free.
