In the last few years, Arab drama has shifted with the introduction of high-budget joint productions, each with a star-studded cast addressing a pan-Arab audience.

Big production companies look to perfect their series, and give each its own unique identity. Of the key elements that have emerged as an integral part of series in recent years are theme songs. Once sung by only a couple of singers, such as Egyptian Ali Al Hajjar, the songs are now written, composed, arranged and voiced by some of the Arab world's most famous music artists.

Artists such as Nancy Ajram, Ragheb Alama, Wael Jassar and Saber Errobai sing the opening tunes of series this Ramadan.

And after the success of the theme song he wrote and composed for " Law " series, which was sung by Elissa, Marwan Khoury returns this season with theme songs for four series. He sings three of them - the opening songs of "Cello," "Albi Daa" and "Qabel Lal Kaser" - while Alama sings the theme song of "24 Carats."

Ajram, meanwhile, recorded the theme song for "Halat Eshk," which stars May Ezzedine. The song is written by Ayman Bahjat Amar, composed by Walid Saad and arranged by Ahmad Ibrahim.

Tunisian star Errobai voices the theme song of "Zahab Wa Awda" starring Egyptian Ahmad Sakka and Syrian diva Kinda Alloush. The song is written by Ayman Bahjat Amar, composed by Walid Saad and arranged by Ahmad Ibrahim.

Jassar sings the theme song of Mariam, starring Haifa Wehbe. The song is written by Tamer Hussein, composed by Shaid Hassan and arranged by Adel Hakki.

"Haret Al Yahood," which stars Eyyad Nassar and Menna Shalabi, has a music-only opener composed by Tunisian Amine Bouhafa.

"Taht Al Saytara," which stars Nelly Karim, will also open with instrumental music by Egyptian musician Tamer Karawan.

"Ostaz wa Raees Qesem," which stars Adel Imam, also has an instrumental opener.
