A high-end, exclusive Arab China Tech Summit will be taking place in Dubai on May 2, 3 and 5.

Organized by ePanda and Roland Berger Strategy Consultants, the upcoming conference aims to bridge the gap between investors and start-ups in China and the Arab region.

Samar Imtiaz of Roland Berger spoke to Stepfeed and explained that "a delegation of ~30 top investors from China will be taking part in the summit."

Imtiaz added that "the summit will focus attention on cross border innovation and technology and will also be attended by a similar number of known UAE startups and Venture Capitalists."

Managing Partner for Roland Berger, Kushal Shah also spoke to Stepfeed and said that the event will be "showcasing some of the best startups in the region that are breaking through and defining e-commerce and the digital space."

The 3 day conference includes important networking events, presentations, panel discussions and talks by keynote speakers including leading Chinese investor, Yi Cao, founder of Source Code Capital, and Mudassir Sheikha, founder of Careem," Arab Business reported.

Dubai based startup ePanda (“Entrepreneur Panda”) was founded by "ex-Alibaba JV CTO, Ms Rita Huangzhen to help introduce the Chinese tech community to start-up ecosystem stakeholders in the Middle East and Africa."

In a statement Huangzhen says that organizers of the summit, "are determined to connect as many people" and "bring nations closer together."
