Middle Eastern artist and sociopolitical activist Saint Hoax  paid a visit to the Syrian refugee camp in Akkar, Lebanon, leaving the young girls in a fairytale dream as they dressed up like Disney princesses.

A Syrian citizen himself, Hoax felt the need to help the Syrian refugees who have fled their war-torn country. His project, "Once Upon a War," was a collaboration with NGO MALAAK and Plastik Studios . The project allowed girls residing in the camp to play pretend, because shouldn't all young girls be able to?

"These girls are real life heroines and I am honored that I got the chance to dream with them," Hoax said on the project's website .

Alongside his project, Hoax gave the girls a chance to document their lives and share their stories with the world on Snapchat in honor of International Women's Day.

Once again, art and technology made it possible for Hoax to show in real-time how these young girls are living day-to-day all the while making it possible for these young girls to be just that.
