A Syrian asylum seeker in Sweden was merely trying to board a bus early Tuesday morning when the driver physically assaulted him after a dispute.
According to the man, who has only been identified as Mustafa, he boarded the bus after initially being refused access by the driver. Mustafa decided to snap a photograph of the driver before taking his seat.
When the driver confronted him over the photo, the incident became violent with the driver attacking Mustafa. Reportedly, Mustafa was left bleeding from the mouth and required treatment from the hospital.
The driver can be heard saying "I hate you damn swines" in Swedish.
"I felt like I wasn’t in Sweden but in Syria," the victim said, according to Middle East Eye . "Caught by the shabiha [pro-government gangs] or terrorists who want to kill me. I can’t fully express what I felt."
According to Middle East Eye, a police investigation has been launched into the attack.
