The UAE is a pretty popular destination among travelers, and international celebrities are on top of the list.

Earlier this week, none other than captain of Real Madrid and Spain's national football team Sergio Ramos landed in the Emirates "for the ongoing FIFA Club World Cup in Abu Dhabi."

The UAE is hosting the FIFA Club World Cup 2018, the fourth time to do so after 2009, 2010 and 2017. The country has also "hosted three other FIFA tournaments besides: the U-20 World Cup in 2003, the Beach Soccer World Cup in 2009, and the U-17 World Cup four years later."

Back to Ramos and his trip to the GCC country. It seems as though he's having a great time ... especially at the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.

During his trip to Abu Dhabi, the Spanish footballer fell in love with the mosque and its grandeur.

The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque was ranked in 2017 "as the world’s second-favourite landmark according to TripAdvisor," according to Gulf News.

Ramos even used the #HalaMadrid tag in his stories

"Well... one of the most wonderful places I have ever visited. Incredible."

According to Gulf News, Ramos said the Grand Mosque is "one of the most wonderful places I have ever visited" in a now-expired story he uploaded to his Instagram account.
