The Israeli occupation of Palestine has always been a cause for debate both online and off.
But what happens when an apartheid state is dubbed the ''only place'' that's ''safe & equal'' in the Middle East?
Rita Panahi, a journalist for the Australian newspaper The Herald Sun, just found out. The columnist and Islam critic is currently under fire for claiming Israel is the where she feels most safe in "as an atheist and a woman" in the Middle East.
Panahi didn't stop there: ''All the worst people hate Israel.''
But tweeps just weren't having it
Twitterverse ran out of remarks for Panahi; asking her all sorts of questions on Israeli human right violations and racial and religious profiling.
"Equality and safety are the last two words to describe the Zionist occupation"

It seems some journalists have forgotten what fact-checking is all about.
