Armed with baby bottles, a group of Saudi men rolled on the floor, kicking their feet in the air as they chugged milk. This was part of a public competition at Arar Summer Festival, and the Saudi public is not amused...to say the least.

One Twitter hashtag served as an outlet for Saudi displeasure: #اللي_يرضع_أكثر_يفوز or “whoever sucks the most wins.”

1. They really hope this isn't the face of internal tourism

“And they talk about internal tourism!”

2. Sarcasm wasn't in short supply

“Shame about the people who travelled to Europe and missed out on these activities!”

3. Some words of wisdom

“Some think that entertainment means being silly and stupid, whereas it requires art and talent. It cannot be achieved by pretending to be a fool”

4. The shame is real

“Where is the entertainment in this? Why the disregard of people’s opinions? I wish our neighbours in other GCC countries won’t see this!”

5. But creative solutions are always at hand

“Listen, if anyone from GCC asks we’ll say this competition was held in a mental institution in Saudi! What a disgrace… and they say 2030 Vision!”

6. This guy has a very valid point

“And some say women have half brains!”

7. Finally, they say, it's a matter of respect

“If you don’t want to respect the opinion of the audience then at least respect the logo of the event that appears behind you”
