Snoop Dogg Goes to Ancient Persia in Bizarre New Music Video

Is Snoop Dogg in love with the Middle East? Or just loves Ancient Persia? Or just really, really high?

Iranian singer Amitis Moghaddam – stage name Amitis – released a bizarre ancient Persian-themed music video on Monday featuring well-known American rapper Snoop Dogg .

The song is in English, although Amitis' past tracks were mainly recorded in Farsi. On Facebook, Amitis has around 64,000 followers compared to Snoop Dogg's 35 million, leaving us scratching our heads on how he ended up featured in her music video.

The relatively unknown singer has resided in the United States since 2002 and released her debut album in 2010. Her latest music video, "King," features her sitting on an ancient throne being fanned by several male attendants while women sit around her, taking occasional puffs of hookah. Snoop Dogg shows up just past the halfway mark with his signature rap style, sitting on a Persian farvahar throne and blowing hookah smoke.

Snoop Dogg also released his own "Orientalist" inspired music video last month. The video showcases a futuristic Los Angeles, California, that has obviously reinterpreted a great deal from ancient Egyptian styles.

Is Snoop moving to the Middle East?!
