Attention to all Egyptian and foreign travelers in Sinai: The skies are putting on a show with its Geminid Meteor Shower, the very last show of the year.

The Geminid Meteor shower, kicked off the month with a dazzling show all around the world and its growing intensity can be visible from high rooftops, mountains, and cliffs.

So really, what better way to witness that than on Sinai's St. Catherine's monastery?

The meteor shower is expected to reach its peak on Dec. 13 and 14, precisely when people from all walks of life will gather at the monastery to witness an event that is often referred to as " brilliant ."

With help from Astrotips, a traveling agency and wildlife sanctuary, an event was created to gather sky gazers, in and out of the country, to marvel at the wondrous beauty of the stars and the skies. Providing telescopes, simple explanations of the cancellations observed, help with astrophotography and up-to-date photographs of the Andromeda Galaxy.

The moon will not be visible during the meteor shower, making the tinniest shooting stars beautifully visible in the night sky.

Lastly, you don't need any special equipment or an understanding of astronomy to witness Geminids, with the clear Sinai skies, observing the event will be relatively easy.
